Mauritania will receive 767,000 dollars from the African Development Fund, on concessional terms from the African Development Bank Group, to develop livestock farming, the country's second largest employment-generating sector. The agreement opens the way to the launching by the Mauritanian government of the Program for the valorization of the natural agro-pastoral potential of the Saharan zone - project for the inclusive development of the breeding farms (AWKAR project). SEAFOOD AFRICA : Mauritania to discover the potential of the Port of Tanit on the sidelines of the International Professional Fish Fair
Located 60 km north of Nouakchott, the Tanit Port was created in 2018 ahead of the commissioning of the city in 2019. It comprises a floating port capable of receiving 400 units of fish, a 550-meter-long access road, various exploitation and catch processing facilities, an energy production plant and a seawater desalination station.

The European Union and Spain announce multi-million dollar projects in Mauritania for green hydrogen production
