Mauritania is to receive $767,000 from the African Development Fund, on concessional terms from the African Development Bank Group, to develop livestock farming, the country's second largest source of employment. The agreement paves the way for the Mauritanian government to launch the Programme de valorisation du potentiel agropastoral naturel de la zone saharienne-projet de développement inclusif des filières d'élevage (AWKAR project).
